Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 85 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD is non-psychoactive and present in more significant quantities in hemp than it is in marijuana. Research shows significant potential of CBD possessing incredible health benefits.

  2. Is CBD legal in a state where medical marijuana is illegal?
Yes, the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bill changed the legal status of hemp in the U.S. and the State(s) Department of Agriculture. ClearView’s hemp is grown and extracted under the strict guidelines of the Kentucky Department of Agricultural Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. We are able to sell in all 50 states, without any risk.

  3. Do your products have THC in them?
0% THC, guaranteed. All of our CBD products do not contain any THC, and proof of the potency of our CBD by our third-party lab testing will be accessible to you soon.

  4. Will your products get me high?
NO. ClearView’s products will not get you high. CBD is non-psychoactive, and our products contain zero THC, guaranteed.

  5. What is the difference between CBD and THC? What is the difference between CBD oil and Hemp oil?
(CBD vs. THC) – THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD are the two most prominent cannabinoids derived from the cannabis plant, however they differ in many ways. THC and CBD both interact with the body through the endocannabinoid system but elicit different natural effects. One of the main differences is that THC is psychoactive, and CBD is not. CBD has the same chemical formula as THC, but the atoms are arranged differently. This slight variance causes THC to create a psychoactive effect, while CBD lacks such an influence. Although from the same plant genus, Cannabis, THC and CBD dominate different species, specifically marijuana and hemp, respectively. Marijuana and THC are specifically listed in the U.S. Controlled Substances Act and, therefore, are prohibited under federal law, while CBD is legal in all 50 states, given it is derived from high-CBD, low-THC hemp and not extracted from marijuana.

(CBD oil vs. Hemp oil) – The main difference between CBD oil and Hemp oil is that Hemp oil does not contain CBD. CBD and Hemp oils are made from different parts of the plant and have different purposes. CBD is a compound found in industrial hemp, and we utilize a whole plant CO2 extraction that allows us to draw the CBD from the plant material and filter out unnatural substances, maximizing pure CBD concentration. While CBD is extracted from the entire plant, minus the seeds, hemp is extracted only from the seeds. Hemp oil is made from pressing hemp seeds and is used in a variety of products. Hemp-seed oil is used as a protein supplement for food and, because of its remedial properties for hair and skin, as an ingredient in lotion and soap products as well as stand-alone dermal products.

  6. Will I fail a drug test if I use the CBD oil?
It depends on the testing standards of the lab administering your drug test. Most companies only search for the cannabinoid THC, which is the main psychoactive component of the marijuana plant. While ClearView products are THC free, there are some testing facilities that check for a spectrum of cannabinoids and could trigger a positive drug test. By law, you are allowed to ask the facility for which cannabinoids they test. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can call and ask anonymously. We suggest contacting the testing facility if there is any concern.

  7. What are your shipping damage & return policies?
Claims for product purchased from the Company (not directly from your physician) and damaged in shipment need to be received within 72 hours of delivery of your product(s), so please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt. Any claims must be submitted to support@clearviewcbd.com and must provide details including photo(s) as proof to be considered.
All sales are final and no returns or credits will be issued.

  8. Do you sell to retail customers or ship outside of the US?
Our direct fulfillment process is part of your relationship with your physician. Our products are available from your physician if they have elected to carry the ClearView brand products. For those that do not sell retail products from their office but choose to recommend a CBD product, they will provide you with a “referral” card that contains a code necessary to purchase products on our website. We do not ship to non-referral retail customers, and this process is only in place with US physicians and clinics.

  9. Do I have to return to my physician’s office to purchase product?
Your physician can provide a referral card with the code necessary to purchase product and have it delivered directly to your door. You are free to reorder whenever necessary but can also purchase directly from your physician during any office visit. You will pay a fixed, per unit shipping/handling fee and any sales tax, if applicable.

  10. What is the difference between CBD isolate and full and broad spectrum CBD?
The cannabinoid spectrum range contained within a product is what determines whether the product is full spectrum, broad spectrum, or CBD isolate. When a CBD product is created, the cannabinoid content is extracted from the Cannabis plant, where other compounds found within the plant are also extracted, including terpenes, flavonoids, and other cannabinoids.

An isolate is the purest form of a compound, produced by singularly extracting that compound from its environment and isolating it from all other compounds. That being said, CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD.

Full spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found naturally occurring in the plant, including terpenes, essential oils, and other cannabinoids. And broad spectrum CBD is a bit of a mix between full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Similar to full spectrum, the other compounds found within the plant are preserved in the extract of broad spectrum CBD; however, like CBD isolate, THC is completely removed.

  11. Why do I need a physician’s referral to purchase your products?
Our physicians developed the exclusive formulation of our topical products to make them available to their patients as a natural alternative for traditional medicine. Because these and other future products will be based on their formulations, we have a supply agreement that gives us exclusive distribution rights for the worldwide healthcare-provider market. Our products will be available from select physicians, podiatrists, pain management clinics or online if your physician is participating in our distribution program. Ask your physician if they offer the ClearView products, or ask them to contact us about joining the program.

  12. Why do you source your hemp from Kentucky?
Kentucky’s ecology is perfect for growing hemp with a long growing season and very rich soil, providing some of the highest quality hemp available. Growing under the Kentucky Hemp Pilot Program is also 100% compliant with Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill, which means harvesting and distributing is 100% legal at the federal level.

  13. What kind of tests do you run on your products?
Each batch of our CBD is third-party lab tested, not only for the THC and CBD profile, but is also guaranteed to be free of contaminants like heavy metals, bacteria, microbial life, mycotoxins and pesticides. Our third-party lab test results will be available to you soon.

  14. What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?
The endocannabinoid system, discovered in the 20th century, is a vital signaling system responsible for regulating a wide array of functions, including pain, appetite, mood, memory, immune response, and sleep. This biological system is composed of endocannabinoids, receptors in the nervous system and around your body that endocannabinoids and cannabinoids bond with, and enzymes that help break down endocannabinoids and cannabinoids.

There are two cannabinoid receptors – CB1 and CB2 that are located on cells throughout the body:
CB1 receptors are primarily located on nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system. They are very abundant in the cerebellum, basal ganglia, and hippocampus. The CB1 receptors have been found to play a role in memory processing, motor regulation, pain sensation, mood, and sleep. CB2 receptors are primarily found on cells in the immune system and its associated structures. When activated, they stimulate a response that fights inflammation, which can reduce pain and minimize damage to tissues. Cannabinoids help coordinate and regulate how we feel and think by binding with the endocannabinoid system’s CB1 and CB2 receptors. Fitting like puzzle pieces, cannabinoids are designed to link together with the cannabinoid receptors.
This linking activates the receiving neuron into action, triggering a set of events to pass along the message and carry out a variety of cellular responses needed for homeostasis and healthy functioning.

  15. Are there any extra fees or charges when checking out?
You will be charged a fixed per unit shipping and handling fee and, if applicable, the sales tax of your location.

  16. How should I store my CBD product?
We recommend storing your CBD products in a cool dark place away from heat and light to ensure no loss of potency.

  17. Do I need a medical marijuana card to purchase?
No. Our products are all 99%+ pure CBD isolate, solely derived from US-grown hemp, and do not contain any marijuana, therefore you do not need a medical marijuana card to purchase any product on our site.
